“I approach investing from a stewardship perspective. Using the gifts of assets wisely is an important faith issue and a critical part of my approach to wealth management.”
I became a licensed CPA in 1971 and over time realized my clients could benefit from investment services. Therefore in 1987 I became an Investment Adviser Representative. I pride myself on blending my knowledge of investments and tax so appropriate investments are made which do not produce unexpected tax consequences. I feel fortunate to now focus on investments, but still provide tax preparation and planning services to my investment clients.
I obtained my Michigan Insurance License in 1999 and added insurance and annuity services to options I can provide clients. Insurance options not only include fixed and variable annuities, but term and whole life insurance and long-term care insurance where appropriate. I feel fortunate to add these options to my ability to offer stock, bond and mutual fund investments as wealth management solutions.
I have been married to my wife Connie since 1968 and have three grown daughters and six grandchildren and great grandchildren. I am active in my local Church, serving on various Boards and also serve on the Board of Sparrow Ionia Hospital, previously chairing the Building Campaign. In 2019, 2021 and 2022 I participated in the Michigan Sr. Olympics and fortunately qualified to attend The National Sr. Olympics in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and 2023 in Pittsburg, Pa. I have competed in the Javelin, Shotput, Hammer throw and Discus with success. I previously ran numerous marathons and half-marathons raising almost $50,000 for Charities.
